Orders can be placed through our website, over the phone, or via email.
Once an order has been placed with us, we will email you within 24 hours (or the next working day) with an order confirmation that will provide additional information relating to your order. Once you have received a confirmation you will have entered into a purchase contract with us.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check the order detail in this confirmation thoroughly, including the product information and delivery address provided. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all measurements of Upholstery or Cabinet Furniture purchased are checked to ensure accessibility at the time of order, by referencing the product dimension information presented on the product detail sections of each product specific web page.
Pricing and Payment
We accept payment on our site and over the phone via Stripe. Orders can also be placed via email. All products and any applicable delivery charges must be paid for at the time of order placement. By placing an order through our site, you are confirming that the payment details provided are valid and correct.
The pricing of all products will be clearly indicated on the product detail pages of our site, and will be accurately quoted, except in the case of obvious error.
Prices may change over time, however any changes will be affect orders placed and accepted prior to these price amendments.
Cancellation and Returns
All of the furniture items sold on this website are manufactured to your specific order, on the manufacturing lead-time quoted when you place your order.
There will be no charge for cancellation or amendments to orders if notification is received in writing by the department within 7 days of placing the original order.
All cancellations of or amendments to orders placed must be notified in writing either by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to Order Cancellation, Living Room Design Ltd, 14 Victoria Road, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG5 2LS. We will not be able to refund any payment after that time.
Upholstery or Cabinet Furniture that has been made to your order may only be returned for a full refund or exchanged in the unlikely event of items being found to be faulty (see faulty goods).
Cushions can be returned within 14 days of receipt of your order, but must be returned in their original condition and in their original packaging. Return requests should be submitted via email@example.com .
As a matter of security, refunds are given only by the same method by which the original payment was made.
This cancellation policy does not affect your statutory rights.
We work extremely hard to ensure that your purchase reaches you in perfect condition. However, should you experience any issues with your order, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will do our utmost to resolve any issues.
We endeavour to display our products on the website as accurately as is possible. However, due to the nature of the materials used in the production of our products, items may incur variances in colour and finish. Please note the below disclaimers;
Due to the wide number of fabric options available on each Made to Order item, the website does not display all products in all colours and fabrications. We therefore recommend that you take advantage of our free swatch service in advance of placing your order, to ensure that your chosen fabric meets your requirements both in colour, texture and quality. We have worked to ensure that our fabrics are represented as accurately as possible within the ‘fabrics’ section of the website, however as different computers display colours differently, we cannot guarantee their accuracy.
Fabrics vary between batches, particularly those that are yarn dyed (e.g. Abraham Moon wools). Whilst we try to maintain as little variance as possible, we cannot guarantee a 100% direct match between your swatch and your order.
Cabinet Furniture Products
All of our Cabinet Furniture is manufactured from kiln dried European oak. The inherent nature of this natural material is such that grain and colour variances are inevitable, as are the appearance of small knots and other natural markings. Our manufacturing partner works to ensure that our wood selection and matching is as harmonious as possible, however we cannot accept returns on the basis of natural variances in our oak.
Likewise wood is an organic material, that is open to movement and dimensional changes dependant on the temperature and humidity level of it’s environment. All of our timber is dried to appropriate moisture levels, and we cannot accept returns from timber movement that stems from inappropriate climatic conditions. We recommend avoiding exposure to excessive heat as this can cause timber cracking, and exposure to direct sunlight can cause colour variance over time.
All of the items shown on our website have been designed by or on behalf of Living Room Design Ltd. As such, the intellectual property to all designs is retained under the ownership of Living Room Design Ltd.
We work with one of the UK’s best renowned delivery partners to ensure that all of our orders are delivered via a two-person service, which will guarantee the following;
- A telephone call 10 days in advance of your order being completed to arrange a suitable time for delivery. (Specific times cannot be communicated at this point, prior to the postcode routing nearer the time)
- A text the day before the agreed delivery date communicating an approximated 2 hour window
- A phone call on the day of delivery to confirm an estimated time of arrival
- Delivery by a two-person team into your room of choice
- Un-packing, and removal of all packaging to be disposed of in an environmentally conscious manner
Please note that customer requests to retain the product in it’s packaging will require written confirmation that the goods have been accepted as correct to their order, of the correct quality and un-damaged.
For any item that is delivered with componentry remaining to be fitted (i.e. Upholstery feet, Cabinet Furniture handles), these component parts will be fitted at the time of delivery by our professional two-person service. We cannot accept responsibility for the correct fitting of these items should customers choose to fit these component parts themselves after delivery.
Our lead times for completing your order will be visible to you on the product detail pages before you place your order. This lead time will also be quoted on your order confirmation. We will work to ensure that all orders are delivered within their agreed lead-time at the point of order confirmation. However, should the lead time be impacted by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g. Fabric out of stocks), we reserve the right to amend the order lead time and will contact you immediately to advise you of any delays.
Our delivery partner is committed to ensuring that every care is taken when delivering your products. We cannot accept responsibility for any damages that occur whilst the delivery is in process. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all access points are clear, including the removal of any obstacles or valuables, and that care is taken to cover any floor surfaces as required. For health and safety reasons, the delivery crew cannot remove their shoes and the wearing of shoe protectors is not always possible when carrying heavy furniture items.
It is the customer’s responsibility to advise of any parking or property access restrictions in advance of the delivery.
Failed Deliveries : A text the day before the agreed delivery date, followed by a phone call on the day of delivery will give a clear timeslot for delivery. It is the responsibility of the customer to be at home to receive the item within the agreed time slot. The driver will wait for a maximum of 10 minutes upon arrival, after which time the delivery will have failed. Customers will be charged the full cost of re-delivery in this event.
